This strikes me as a blend between sonic and Megaman X after you discover the Street Fighter upgrades. Nice work!

I played your original prototype which I enjoy- so I already like the concept and was the right amount of challenge but this one is way to hard- the issue is you don't earn enough money to hire/heal your team. So when that happens, even if I had unlimited continues, I simply don't have enough money to win. I beat the first few levels but due to the low payout it got boring quickly because I couldn't move forward.
Am I missing something? If I am, I'd give it another go.

Rarykos responds:

Mmm you're right. I'm working on a fix now. Tomorrow I'll release an update, fixing some bugs and changing the structure a bit. Balancing money was my biggest challenge here. It's difficult to get right. So thank you for your opinion and your time! I'm adding it to the list of changes needed.

This is a fun 5 minute game. You could do some cool speed round rankings with this. I love music! It reminds me of the music in the opening credits of Invader Zim.

I can see how this would be fun on a smartphone but the controls are terrible for a computer. Map them to the keyboard and this will fix everything.

Prox276 responds:

I will add smartphone controls today

This was a wonderful pivot on chess- It took some investing to learn and I have fun doing so. Once you understand the game you can get through it pretty quickly(There are only 7 levels) but it is a fun brain puzzle in the beginning and well worth playing.
I think this game could be expanded on in the future- new enemies, more levels with a higher challenge and you could increase the size of the "chessboard". If you do increase the levels significantly- consider adding some continues if you lose or the ability to purchase "continues" with coins.
Looking forward to and hoping there is a second iteration to this game!
Update.....
I just found out you are making a full paid version of this game! Nice!

One of the best and unique puzzle games I've played while. Good level of challenge and intriguing visual story. This is a game you'll sit and play all 30 levels....and enjoy it. It's nice that there is no timer and no score- just figure out the puzzle. I dig the trippy music as well- very fitting for the game.

Rarykos responds:

Nice! Thank you!
Whelp, it was intended as a chill out game. I think this demo works for a single evening, the deluxe edition lasts like 4 hours. :o

I found the mechanics of this game so award that is made it not fun to play. The character is too drunk - I think- this could be improved and be a much more playable game.

This is really a game of strategic math. I enjoyed it. The lack of instructions made some of the game confusing initially- I would have finished in half the time if there were instructions. Once you start using the card multipliers- the terror points directly above each type of card stay the same which was confusing- while the total terror point multiple as they should- these should align - please fix as I initially was not sure if I understood how the multipliers worked.

The game goes on forever even after you collect all the monster - I think you should have an end point- maybe some type of score board?

Note to those that think the game is taking too long- this definitely has to be played over multiple days or a week- if you feel like you are grinding than it is time to turn in your skulls- I don't want to give away the best strategy because that is part of the fun!!!

I almost gave you no stars because I thought it was just a standard tic-tac-toe game with terrible ai....and then you surprised. Folk, just keep winning and you'll be surprised.

You die too easily and the Num 5 reboot option doesn't work.

Newshield responds:

Yes, yes it does. You know the Reboot option only works if you make it to the next area where the game will tell you, "REBOOT UNLOCKED!" You can't use that option if the option has not became available yet. Thanks for the review.
