Worth playing once, VERY easy to complete

I enjoyed playing through this game. It was very easy so I would have like to see the challenge up quite a bit---maybe as more thing you need to move with more potions but still a solid game. The HUGE thing missing that make this game not fun to play more than once is the lack of a scoring system. If you want to get some replay value out of this game you should the following (unless you come up with something better): at time limit of some sort, and the number of steps. This scoring systems seem rather logical especially give that I really like that there were many different ways to complete some of the levels. I would play this game again if you added this scoring system and I think other people would as well. Curious.....what do you think?

Minesweeper live again

Cool game. Clearly you have played a lot a minesweeper. Oh Windows 3.1..... Anyway you did a nice job on building on the Minesweeper game. I also like that if you mess up you don't have start all over like when I would do the massive boards in minesweeper. If you are reading this and too young to know what I am referring to hear look it up.

Awesome.....this game brings back memory of Sonic

So after reading the review of the guy below me. I didn't experience many of the issues that he experience such has freezing in the swim level and getting stuck in the corner. I wish you could stomp on your enemies or something. As I said, this game remind me of Sonic the Hedgehog, I keep feeling that when I get up to speed running I should be able to roll through the enemies with some sort of fancy pants attack like you were able to roll through enemies in Sonic.

The game play was very smooth and enjoyable, the controls were a bit loose but I think that was on purpose because they fit the game well in general.

Improvements: I'm not really clear why I am able to jump through the bottom of all platforms. It make the game too easy. It would be much more challenging to have to wall jump, flip etc to get around them. It is ok to be able to jump through some but many times it didn't even seem intuitive to jump through them as I was the challenge of as I said wall jump and flip around them.
At any rate, great game and I look forward to playing the finished product.

DrNeroCF responds:

Hold down to slide, of you're sliding fast enough you can plow through baddies, hold down while on a slope, or landing while going backwards to roll, again, I'd you're going fast enough, you'll go through baddies. I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to stomp baddies, though. If you hold down or jump, you even get a boost!

Very interesting thoughts about the platforms, though. Later levels do have more solid walls and less platforms, though, I think you'll enjoy the extra challenge later in the game.

A real let down

This game was a real let down for me. I love the concept. I have been play iterations of games like this for 2 decades and this one look like a cool original version. Sadly the game is sooooo slow I can't play it. Now this game is NOT lagging so that is not what I mean by slow. It take the opposing computer controlled player so long to shoot I got bored. This is a game that should be quick but it is just opposite. If you can speed this up a lot I would play this game otherwise it is simply to painful to wait for the computer to move.

box10 responds:

The time the AI use to shoot is because they are searching for a viable shot, we can't speed that up. We made it so if they don't shoot within 10 seconds, then they skip their turn.

kind of boring

While I thought this game would be fun, it came across as rather boring. I played 6 levels that went by very quickly but the gameplay did not improve. The game is just slow and repetitive. I also thought the concept of bombing the enemies should be changed. It is very difficult to kill an enemy because UNLIKE bomberman the enemies can walk right over the bomb thus almost always evading the blast.

If you suck at puzzles games, just don't play this

I love puzzle games and I'm generally very good at them but this game is too hard to be good. I say hard and not challenging because the way the game set up it is often next to impossible to win. I got to level 5 and got bored with annoyance. I had to play the first level about 6 times before I won because most of the time the tiles I had to match on the board weren't there(or there were only a few of them). While it appears that the tiles are randomly generated, you should write some code in there so the game knows to make it beatable. This is especially true in the early levels. There is simply to many variety of tiles so even when I did when it was always in the nic of time. Also, it was usually due to a lucky draw of good matching tiles. The early level play like levels I would expect toward the end of the game. Improve on these things and you will have a great game.

disappointing

So the game looks cool and the ball look like Samus curled up which is also a plus. The puzzle concept is good but then performance is where everything came apart. The ball is very difficult to control as if he is always on oil. The jumping ability is just horrible and need to be recoded. If you fix the jumping that will make the game worth playing instead of just annoying. Jumping is not responsive thus very inaccurate and destroys the flow of the game. This can be fixed and then you may have a winner.

Cool story but the one the endings doesn't jive

So cool interactive story with multiple endings

Some SPOILERS....
The ending of betrayal doesn't not make sense. How can you call refusing to jump to your death after a lover betrayal? That is called stupidity and suicide.

Slow, boring and annoying

So most people have seen this concept done a thousand times over and sometimes they are done well but this one is not a good one. The game is very slow and boring. The flow of the game is broken every time you have to switch characters. The the different abilities of the characters add little to the game. It would have been a stronger game if you just gave one of the panda's all the abilities and removed the concept of switching characters all together. Also, I have to travel through a large portion of the level with one panda but because the other panda does not automatically follow, I have to essentially play each level twice. If you could make the pandas follow each other it would greatly increase the the quality of gameplay.

Soul Sucking addicting!

I won't say how long I spent on this game but once I started it I just had to finish. I really like how you can customize each character as opposed to just leveling up. For those who think the last battle is too hard or too long. Figuring out the proper way to equip you guys is essential. Once you figure that out and with a small bit a strategy the last batter is extremely simple. Can't wait for the next one. Also save save save save. Don't be afraid to use you power up, you pretty much end up with an endless supply in this game.
